Corporate Responsibility Programme

Supporting Mental Wellbeing

#TackleYourFeelings is a national wellbeing campaign developed by the Irish Rugby Union Players' Association (IRUPA) in partnership with Zurich, which aims to encourage people to take preventative measures to look after and maintain their mental and emotional wellbeing.

Zurich prides itself on a commitment to making a difference in the local communities in which we operate, and supports a number of important causes across the country.

With over 1,200 employees across our Life and General Insurance businesses in Ireland, Zurich has proudly supported charities such as Aware, Pieta House and the Windmill Therapeutic Unit in Wexford over the past number of years through a series of fundraising and volunteering initiatives.

This year, Zurich forged a partnership with IRUPA, a strong advocate of the benefits of building mental resilience, to support a new campaign with the objective to drive positive change in the area of mental health in Ireland.

Through the global Z Zurich Foundation, which supports Zurich companies worldwide to develop meaningful responses to challenges in their local communities through funding and in-kind donations, Zurich will partner with IRUPA over the next three years to roll out a new mental wellbeing campaign called #TackleYourFeelings.

#TackleYourFeelings was developed to promote the concept of mental wellbeing, and aims to encourage members of the Irish public to continually build their mental resilience and view their wellbeing as crucial to their everyday happiness. The campaign will also strive to tackle the stigma associated with talking about mental health challenges.

As part of the campaign, rugby stars past and present will share their experiences of dealing with mental wellbeing issues and how they proactively managed these challenges.

Mental health is an increasingly prevalent issue in Ireland, however it can be positively managed with the right support.
