Barntown native wins national Zurich Employee of the Year Award

April 2014: Jane Kidd, originally from Barntown and based in Zurich’s Drinagh office, has been named the Zurich Employee of the Year, out of 400 people employed by the insurer in Ireland. Jane, who is a Senior Agent on the Broker Team in Zurich’s Drinagh office, was nominated for the award by her colleagues, and received the top prize for her team work and technical excellence, and for continually displaying passion and energy in promoting the Zurich brand in Wexford and across Ireland.

Commenting on the announcement, Jaime Berland, Head of Human Resources for Zurich said, “Our Employee Recognition Awards play an important role in acknowledging and celebrating the achievements of our people at all levels throughout the company, and the country. Jane is a positive and passionate employee and her opinion and technical knowledge have made her a real asset to the business in Drinagh.

There are currently 160 people working in the Wexford office, and it is one of the county’s largest employers, having grown by over a third since its establishment six years ago. The office provides dedicated customer care, claims administration handling (covering motor & property accidental damage claims) and credit control functions.

This is the second year in a row that the Wexford office has received the Employee of the Year Award.
