Zurich Launches Ireland's First Combined Motor and Home Insurance Smartphone Application

Free download for Irish Motor and Home Insurance Customers

Zurich has officially launched an exclusive claims application for its motor and home insurance customers in Ireland, compatible with both Apple and Android smart phones.

The launch of the combined motor and home claims application is not only the first of its kind in Ireland but also a first for Zurich globally and represents a one-stop-shop for Zurich customers to record, report and track a car or home insurance claim. The multi-function app is available now for download, free of charge from the iTunes Store and the Android Market.

Following the successful launch of its iPhone motor claims app earlier this year, Zurich motor and home customers can download the new enhanced app using any Apple or Android phone. As well as capturing all the information needed to notify Zurich of a claim, the newly enhanced app now features tips to minimise claims exposure in the home and handy tips for driving in severe weather conditions along with a new parking locator tool for customers who have trouble finding their car in busy carparks.

Announcing details of the new multi-function app, Maurice Cullen, Chief Marketing Officer at Zurich Insurance, said, "With the winter months approaching, challenging weather conditions can lead to a sharp increase in customer queries from both our motor and home insurance customers. As first to market with this combined claims app our customers stand to benefit from our ongoing commitment to providing a fast and efficient claims service by utilising the latest technology. Claims that are submitted using the new app will be instantly fast-tracked to our claims department and customers will receive a response within one working day."

Earlier this year Zurich in Ireland also launched a claims SMS service allowing customers to receive claim information directly to their mobile phone.
